Background: Canada Basketball wanted to launch a new tournament, showcasing the sport’s stars of tomorrow on Sportsnet’s national broadcast.  The 5-on-5 Under-23 basketball tournament featured women’s and men’s teams from around the world, alongside an immersive cultural experience featuring musical performances, fashion drops, community engagement and diversity conversations.

The Big Idea: All the world’s a stage and this is the main event. Talent raised into the spotlight atop a stage set for greatness to not only happen – but to behold. Dreams are on display, art takes centre court and culture is the theatre in which we all have a ticket. This is the world’s showcase. Let’s put the upcoming stars front and center, in the spotlight.
