The Background: Adidas created a limited-edition purple sneaker to celebrate the Raptors’ 30th anniversary, drawing on a season defined by ’90s nostalgia and throwback moments. The design is paired with an egg-shaped box—a nod to the iconic moment when the Raptors’ mascot first “hatched” at the inaugural game.
The Big Idea: The 90s are calling. A phone rings from inside the egg—it’s Gradey Dick, calling from a 90s infomercial, with his very own hotline!
We’ve got a Raptor, a time travelling egg, a David Attenborough Documentary and a Gradey Dick Hotline. Yes, it’s meant to be absurd—it’s the 90s.
